| Hello Speople,
Just posting to ask you all, seeing as you know, what you think on multiple aspects of food. First of all, what do you think about Tuna sandwiches for meals, preferably with low fat mayo, nutritionally? Based on your experience what fruit is the best to fill you up before going on patrol, you know the best fruit or vegetable that quenches both hunger and thirst? And lastly what do you people think of taking supplements, a friend of mine once told me that a multivitamin helps him keep his energy up (athlete) but I'm not too sure about the idea of needing to take supplements.
-Jazzsh2 PS: Any additional food tips would be appreciated.

| What you should eat depends entirely on what you want from your body. What are your fitness goals?
As for pre-patrol, I would not focus on fruit. Get some good carbs (Potatoes, beans, brown rice) and protein in there and you'll have all the energy you need to hit the streets for hours.

| All bodies need exact protein (~ 22 grams), about 100 calories of carbs per hour, a bit of fat and fiber, every four hours.
Every thing else is style

| And if you happen to have Irritable Bowel Syndrome like I do, then the importance of soluble fiber needs to be stressed as well. | |

| Just stick to food with low glycemic index, and you'll be fine. And don't eat to much canned food.
Supplements can be a waste of money, there are problems proving that they are effective. It's useless as a replacement for a healthy and variated diet, because we don't know all the vitamins and minerals the body needs.
