A few days ago I thought about including iron palm training in my workout schedule. However there is alot of talk that this way of conditioning can lead to health problems including deformed fingers.

I wonder if there's anyone here who is experienced enough with iron palm training to say if this is true en what benefits there are. Or the right (or wrong) ways to practice this.

When doing iron palm training you are basically doing three things

Hardening your skin
Hardening your tendons and some muscles in the hand
Hardening the bone in your hand

So you have to remember that when you are done you make sure to stretch your hands
and give your hands time to heal after long hard sessions. Stretching exercises will help.

different ways to train iron palm some good a lot bad,if you just hit things that may be a bad way,you also have to train the back of the hand and the knuckles possibly,in a pinch run cold water over your hand after training or a good rub with witch hazel, optimum train with the iron palm herbs if you can find them

Depends on how hard you do the Iron Palm, really it all comes down to how fast and hard you are training, must be taken slowly to avoid permanant damage, but Iron Palm is not a bad thing at all.
