| Ok so I'm a man that like to enjoy a few beers after work. After a few months of drinking I've noticed I've gain a gut. Was wondering it anyone has a set, low calorie alchoal diet?
I normally drink a few glasses of jim beam whisky and yungling luger beer. Justt wondering how to cut the emtpy calories down but still have a good time.

| A lot of weight gain when drinking beer doesn't come from the beer itself, but the food you order with it.
Do you order appetizers, bar food, etc when drinking beer after work?

Do you order appetizers, bar food, etc when drinking beer after work? I do actually but I just started counting calories and beer is like rediculess. Something like 150 in 1 beer so 3 or 4 beers is pretty much a meal. Figured that was the problem.

| It is.
I'm going to be straight up with you, if you're trying to drop weight, you need to cut back on the drinking and increase workout to balance out when you do drink. Plain and simple.

| Unfortunately yes. Crimson fist and Blue Rattler are correct. I indulge in alcohol quite often but I USUALLY try and eat healthy to prevent it. I reay only eat bad on the weekends, but I have beer almost every day. And every time I eat out.
Ive got a gut, but its hidden pretty well by my abs.
FYI, Bruce Lee completely abstained from alcohol.

| if you drink and get the munchies, try finding some vegies you like and saute them. they are low in cals, taste good and will fill you up.
or plan B, get shitfaced real quick and eat everything all at once. beer prevents your body from digesting food so it wont turn into fat(when your really drunk), and the human body has to have a limit on how many cal's it can turn into fat per hour because ive eaten 4k calories in a night before and didnt put on as much fat as i should have.
or plan C, the hardest one. take up jogging, hiking with a nice heavy backpack on (hike through the woods and unbeaten trails, bending over, jumping over logs and what naw burns more calories than ya think and its fun at the same time, or maybe im the only one who thinks its fun to get lost in the woods.), or biking. biking is easy and you can do sprints, a great leg workout which in turn burns the most calories using them huge thigh muscles.

| I would not recommend riding a bike after drinking. | |

| When I was in the service a soldier who had lost his license due to drinking took to riding a bicycle. When he came through the main gate on his bike after a night on the town, the MP’s busted him once again for DWI. It stuck too because even if it doesn’t have a motor a Bike is still a vehicle. As it was his 4th or 5th offense he went straight to the stockade because the Army has no sense of humor when it comes to drinking and driving.

| adamm: There is some truth to your theory, though I do not claim to fully understand the science behind it. Currently reading about something similar in the book The 4 Hour Body.
UA: How do your abs hide your gut? I feel like I'm not understanding what you said there.

| If I flex, ive got abs, theybare pretty developed considering i dont do much to maintain them. But if I just let it all out ive got a gut... like, I look fat and can jiggle it. | |

| I really want to get into running but i just hate running so damn much XD I don't wake up until around sunset to begin with so running at night kind of seems shady haha
I kind of want one of those mini exersize bikes but i dont have much room in my house and really don't know much about them.

| My problem is i'm always hunger. I use to be around 300 pounds and in highschool i lost alot of weight but i still have the appetite. I also just got my hours cut at work to 2 days a week so you'd think id have alot of time to exercise but i'm just not motivated. | |

| UA: Ok, makes sense. I was at a loss for how the fat over the muscles could be hidden by the muscles.
Zombie: I'm going to be blunt with you. It sounds like this is the perfect time to man the F up and work to achieve the goals you are looking at. The fact that you even had to start this thread should be all the motivation you need to get started.

| I was thinking the same thing about running at night. I get up around 5:00 am for work and get home in the early evening, so running in the morning is pretty much out unless I want to get up at 4:00.
I finally decided this: In 5 years, I'm going to be 5 years older and nowhere closer to any of my goals unless I do something. This means getting out of my comfort zone and run. I dislike running also, but it may be a defense I need one day,
Tonight, I went running. It was exhausting, but worth it, and no shadiness about it.

| Running at night is a good excuse to patrol. Nobody really thinks anythkng of it as a lot of people do it anyway. I see people do it all the time.
But I hate running, so I got back into DDR. As a trip to the arcade can start to get expensive. I invested in a metal dance pad and some ps2 DDR gamez.
