WATCH OUT MANHATTAN - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: WATCH OUT MANHATTAN   WATCH OUT MANHATTAN - Page 2 Icon_minitime1Sat Mar 29, 2014 5:04 pm

This isn't a political thread; it's a heads up. Not sure if I mentioned the "Don't look at pink elephants" analogy but that's what I saw. I'm not listening to Fox News; I'm listening to Obama, I saw him start commenting on a nuclear attack in Manhattan specifically, I personally think that was stupid and dangerous.
I didn't vote from him, even if I could hae, I wouldn't have. Has nothing to do with his race, it's his history and the fact he's never worked a real job in his life, it's the fact he his diminishing our defenses and upping the defenses of foreign countries.

I shouldn't just take fox news with a grain of salt; I should take everything with a grain of salt, but when I see something for myself it seems pretty clear.

I don't trust MSNBC, so for the most part I watch Fox News and I like it and as far as I've been able to tell, they haven't lied or done anything except present the facts. I trust fox more than I do the propaganda marketing arm of the administration, but again, this isn't about fox, or it's "rivals' or politics, this is about drawing possibly dangerous attention to our nations largest city. Oddly, I ddn't see it at all on MSNBC; it would make the president look bad, so of course it wouldn't be on there.

I don't like Obama, I think he's exhausted and incompetenet and in no position to be a leader. He hates America, and this is evidence by the friends he keeps and the dreams he holds. You would be shocked if you did some thorough research on him. Read his own book "Dreams From my Father" to get an idea of just what kind of a person he is. That isn't from fox, or msn or any outlet, that is directly from the horse's mouth. Obama needs to be booted out of office, asap, in my opinion.

But yes, let's keep this off politics. Unless one wishes to discuss it in private message.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, Hero-Man… and you giving your is something to be respected. I have no interest in fighting to change your specific opinion of our President, instead, I would rather choose to invite you to view things from a different direction:

Facts don’t lie.

It is the opinion formed from its interpretation that develops into a lie.

The President of the United States of America is a title that is independent of the person residing in its breast. Each person that has held that position was chosen… whether fairly or unfairly, they were chosen. Each person that has held the honor of that title HAD to have a level of Leadership within them in order to function.

This is to be respected! For it was EARNED.

I may not have agreed with President Bush, but he was my President, and I chose to fight and possibly die, if need be, because of his decisions. I respected MY President. I believed in MY Nation and her terms.

A person can be a Leader, a Follower, or an Individual. While all of these are within us, not all of these have the same presence. You are a RLSH. You are a gateway of strength and belief to those that follow you. What does it say when you can’t divide respect from personal opinion?

What does it say when you won’t allow yourself to see a picture greater than the canvas that holds the paint brush strokes?

He is your President, the same as mine.

You are a fire fighter, could you imagine another person on your squad referring to your Captain in public, as Roy and complaining about him… even though he’s done great things and saved lives??

How would you feel if a new young volunteer jumped up in a recorded interview and said, ‘I don’t like Roy! He’s incompetent, he hangs out with the guys after work and goes to bars, he not fit to be a leader, and he hates America!’

What is someone went through every post and thread on this very-same forum and put together all of your comments and responses? Here’s one… what if they pulled your stuff from the OLD website (ReallifeSuperheroes.org) and showed all of your identity changes, warnings, hate-based comments, etc.?

What would they think about you as a Real Life Superhero? Not-to-mention, the VERY questionable stuff you said with the under-aged kid, Nightmare about weapons, violence, etc.

Those of us that know you… KNOW that you are good! Those of us that have been with you and followed you for years KNOW that your heart is in a good spot! But imagine, if you did slip up and became famous…

I saw it when the reporters went through the threads to pull my stuff out to place it in almost every Phoenix Jones newspaper article. God Bless, it wasn’t that bad, but I learned that what I say and said is always available for the public to paint me bad.

Be the Hero that you claim in your title. Take the high-road. Learn respect, endorse respect, and be professional if you’re going to carry a title greater than you. When you speak, you are speaking as the blue-and-yellow costume in your picture. You are speaking as the fire truck that sits behind you. You are speaking as a Real Life Super Hero, who is now considered a veteran on this board. You are speaking as the confidence portrayed with your crossed-arms and happy face.

What you wrote was personal, not professional.

He is OUR President. He is President Obama.

PostSubject: Re: WATCH OUT MANHATTAN   WATCH OUT MANHATTAN - Page 2 Icon_minitime1Sat Mar 29, 2014 7:56 pm

I respect him; I respect everyone. But I don't have to like or agree with someone in order to respect them, and I do not respect people for their social class or status; I respect them for who they are, I respect them in that I believe nothing is worthless, because in my mind, and according to the dictionary, respect is acknowledging that someone or something has worth, I can't think of anyone or thing that is completely worthless.
It's my personal opinion that the President hates America, this is based on his actions and words that I have observed. He his diminsihing our countries defenses, and increasing those of other countries, and doesn't appear to have much of a concern with stopping Putin from taking back the Soviet Union. Now, I hope I'm wrong. Perhaps a more likely possibility is that he merely doesn't want confrontation, and is trying to give gifts to other countries, including our enemies, in hopes that they won't go after us, unaware that perhaps other cultures see that as a sign of weakness and see us as more of a target. But, I have my doubts that he doesn't hate America, despite that I really want to give him the benefit of a doubt.

Watch 2016: Obama's America by Dinesh Dsouza; it was a real eye opener for me. I fact checked it; and it checks out. (just the big parts; didn't fact check the whole movie).

I believe in taking a look at both sides of the story before making a descision; I admit that I could be wrong which is why I see what the other side has to offer and then come to my own conclusions. I feel a need to share interesting things I observe.

It's okay to have different opinions; I hope we can still be friends. (I'm pretty sure you're not the kind of person to get your knickers in a twist over a difference in opinions but I recently had a friend get all bent out of shape over what I think and so I'm a little nervous still of saying what's on my mind. XD)

Stay true. Stay free. Stay safe.

President Obama's audio book "Dreams From my Father" is pretty enlightening as well. It sent chills down my spine, but probably just because I'm really good at seeing the deeper meaning behind things, the bigger picture, and have experience with what happens to people who grew up in an environment as he did, and it was a large reason why I don't think he is a good leader for us, and possibly has less than savory intentions.

I do take it kinda personally when someone starts ruining my home because he has daddy issues. I shouldn't have to be professional when I'm defending my home, I'll be professional when I'm at work. No disrespect.

He's just a [very powerful, very dangerous and very corrupt] man. [who happens to beleader of the free world because of his manipulation and skin color]. But yes, it will blow over, and hopefully we don't end up with another lying socialist who wants to "Fundamentally transform America forever". Some people who actually love this country may take that statement of his as a threat. He wants to be king and thinks he's untouchable. In my not so humble opinion.

The classic step-by-step IQ-test:
-have an induvidial watch fox news for an hour
-ask him if he belive any of it

If the answer is no, he might be something in the range of mild retardation to genius intellect. If the answer is yes, he's out of propotions stupid.

Here is a news article (at the bottom of the page) recently released which supports one of my issues with Fox News and the way that they handle ‘misinformation’.

In the world of propaganda, marketing, deceit, and lies… exploitation of ignorance is a multibillion dollar business and an art-form.

They serve the top 1% of our nation’s most extreme ‘traditionalists’ who pay their bills. To be honest, there is nothing wrong with that. If they are being paid to do a job, it is expected and commendable that they are carrying out their duties.

BUT, it is our responsibility to step back, understand this, be aware of this, and to take what they present and analyze it knowing that it is biased. Only from that point, can we then begin the journey of finding the truth.

As I stated earlier, it truly says something when one, who represents something larger, demeans and slanders their leader. If this was a personal website, Blog, or Community… it wouldn’t be a problem.
This is a Real Life Superhero community, in which many of the members are under 20 years old, with most of those being teenagers or younger.

When you’re calling our Nation’s President and Leader, ‘incompetent’, that ripples through all of those reading this statement that view you and elder veteran they respect. It stays with them and molds a small portion of their mind.

When I’m in uniform, I NEVER speak ‘bad’ of my commanding officers in public… NEVER. I never speak ‘bad’ of my Unit, my Squadron, my comrades, or my Marine Corps. It won’t happen. I took an oath, I volunteered. I made the decision and I have enough discipline to act upon that honor I swore to. I worked to be professional.

In my personal life, I have the right to express myself and give my opinion. Trust me, I have no fear of doing that and I embrace it. I voice my woes on politics, religion, war, and sex all the same.

This is a PROFESSIONAL board – a community. I can understand if you were concerned about President Obama’s statement, but your ‘beef’ needed to stay focused on the message and NOT the messenger.

Attacking the messenger is a Propaganda 101 technique that Fox News has perfected and works very diligently to teach its followers to do the same. If you want proof, go back over this post and look how long it took you to jump from addressing the message to attacking and degrading the messenger.

This is why Police officers, Firemen, Soldier, Marines, etc. are taught this. Someone can scream, ‘He did it! He committed the crime!’, this does not mean a crime is less or more because the person saying it is either homeless or rich… it means that there may have been a potential crime committed and an investigation should be launched.

Message vs. Messenger

Fox News attempted this SAME technique with the Benghazi incident and tried to use it as a tool to motivate its followers into believing that President Obama was corrupt, incompetent, evil, etc.

FOX NEWS WAS FOUND TO BE LIARS!! After multiple investigations they were called out on their lies and bull! When the New House Intel Report came back stating the same thing, that was the nail-in-the-coffin moment for Fox News and they knew they were full of crap!!

Fox News INSTANTLY dropped all of their whining and complaining about Benghazi, ran for the hills, and attempted to shift the attention to other topics.

You need to take EVERYTHING you here from Fox News with a grain of salt.

I take everything in life with a grain of salt; I've seen Obama speaking; his words not Fox's, and I have seen his actions, and I disapprove of both of them. This isn't about fox.

Personally I think it's good to watch various news outlets to get a bigger picture. I'm willing to bet every news outlet has lied, or mislead as well as report the truth and facts; todays world is too political so you can never be too sure. Could be something else entirely.

That's the stupidest IQ test I've ever heard of; it has nothing to do with intellegence quotients. Starting to feel like you're just trying to be a dickhead. Maybe I'm wrong; it''s the way you say things and how you act; maybe you need to make some adjustments. We all have those moments. Self reflection is a virtue. Smile

PostSubject: Re: WATCH OUT MANHATTAN   WATCH OUT MANHATTAN - Page 2 Icon_minitime1Wed Aug 06, 2014 10:56 pm

I didn't do the IQ post.

What I spoke about was Fox News and the President Obama stuff. As I stated earlier, I really don't care about the politics stuff to much because I'm not here to change minds. What I DO care about is what it said in the presence of an Open Forum while children are attending.

Kids can go to ANY site to find comments based on Racial hatred, Religious slurs, and Political discontent. This forum community is about being different; about delivering another point of view based upon heroism and hope.

Negativity is far too easily found in real life as it is on the internet.

Kids are inspired by leadership, wisdom, and examples. If you can't take the time to acknowledge OUR leader as 'PRESIDENT Obama' what does that teach them? I would say the same if I was speaking about PRESIDENT Bush or PRESIDENT Clinton.

What I am talking about is basically... setting an example for the next generation of RLSHs and maybe the Real Life Superhero community can cut down on the in-fighting as they mature into action.

I instantly saw Nightmare's response to your comment after your initial post and he spoke of our leader just as you did. Here's the clincher... Nightmare is younger than you, looks up to you, and is NOT in the United States. What is he... and other teens, outside of our Nation, learning about us through your words... as well as mine?

Other countries despise us! Those of us who have fought on foreign soil and have felt that hate, KNOW and understand the power of words and statements. The internet is GLOBAL. When you call the most powerful man and OUR leader incompetent, then you are calling the United States of America incompetent.

This is NOT true!

You have a Right to your personal opinions and feelings. You have the Right to speak on them, share them, and discuss them. These are the Rights that so many of MY friends have volunteered to give their lives for... and I am speaking from the heart.

All I am asking is... share them in a place that is yours and personal. Share them in a place that was built to invite your discontent with our President. Share them in a place that promotes paranoia and conspiracy... but please not in a place in which you are seen as the Real Life interpretation of the characters they save up their money to get every week in a comic book. When the young kids see RLSHs, their eyes glow and they instantly believe that goodness exists.

This is a community with children and reporters from ALL over the world watching.

If you can't take the time to acknowledge OUR leader as 'PRESIDENT Obama' what does that teach them? I would say the same if I was speaking about PRESIDENT Bush or PRESIDENT Clinton.

He's not my leader; I don't follow him. It teaches kids to respect people for who they are and not because of social classes or titles. I respect Obama, but he's not my leader. I'd say currently my leader is my father, he's not perfect and he's made mistakes, we all have, but he's worked his body to the bone for decades, he served this country in the military, he's taught me how to survive, and to value hard work and not settling for bare minimum standards, he's taught me how to survive and be self sufficient. He's not perfect, but he's better in my eyes as a leader for my family and I; he's had so many experiences, struggles, and tragedy since he was a child, and he never let it keep him down. He's overcome alcoholism, his own demons, and he can outwork anyone. He doesn't say much, but when he does it is direct and to the point and insightful. He makes an effort twenty four seven to be all he can be, and I would follow him into battle. I wouldn't follow Obama into battle. I wouldn't place my life in his hands and trust him to be honest with me; how could I follow, and believe in a leader when I have no faith in him? He may be your leader, but he is not mine.
