I'll be the first to say I don't know anything about yoga. But what I've done, I really like and want to do more.

Basically, my experience is about 12 poses (asanas) I do in the mornings and night. I then follow with meditation for about five minutes, where I try not to think of anything.

Let me know of any good texts, styles of yoga, etc you all would recommend.

How hard core do you want to go?

I can point you to the direction of some Thelemic vodcasts, if you like...

You might say the same things of ballet.

Many people do.

Updated thread, if you haven't gone through it already:

Not sure if it would help in positive directions, but perhaps it might at the very least provide some insight.

Crushing the neck bones, slowly, is one example of the

primitive nature of the practice

yawn.

No cardio makes you easy to take down.

Believing in pretending makes you easy to take down too.

NO amount of yoga will turn you into a flexible person.

Flexibility is born - not made.

If you are genetically inclined to be bendable,

it will not make you able to be long on stamina or strong.

What TINY strength you think you gain from yoga

is nothing compared to carrying 40 bags of mulch up a hill for two hours.

Yoga, like most primitive ideas, is laughable.

You might as well study ballet and brag about that.

At least, then, your feet would be stronger and you'd have better posture.

I know. I was just attempting to be humorous to those who would allow for it. Cool

I still heed your words of great wisdom with much care. I love you
