This was a greater effort than the boat lift of Dunkirk in WWII where 390,000 people
rescued in 9 days. On 9-11, immediately after the towers fell, 500,000 people were
rescued from Manhattan in 9 hours, by boat. I had no idea. This is amazing. I had
not been aware of this wonderful effort!
