| I understand and agree.
NOW, you grasp why I worry.
So, what can we do?
I am happy to type for RLSH when I can.
I'll try to find the ones that I already typed to save time.
IF you trust me, I am happy to type up a program for you.
I only will do this for free for RLSH.
State your goals, injuries, time-opportunities, allergies and any physical considerations

| Paleo Diet my posterior.
By and large Cave men lived on a see food diet. When they saw food and if they could catch it they ate it. They were too busy perfecting the wheel and making flint edged tools to become dieticians.

| OK, Rogue is right in asking who is one to trust if one does not have the time to study.
I agree to give free fitness advice to RLSH because RLSH are wonderful ( by and large ) but who is me?
I think that you click on all "posts by Flora" and see a bunch but I have been here a long time and the mods have checked my identity. So, you might as them.
More importantly,
I will give you a program. YOU look at it and see if it makes sense.
I am happy to be able to tailor to your needs. The tailoring is one of the things that i have learned that I cherish the most.

| Without typing up the whole background,
here are some basics with which to build good programs.
1. your skeleton is only ten years old ( after age ten)
You can change your bones a LOT
2. muscles weaken after four days of rest. So, twice a week is great ( it is not easy to type around a kitten who is full of love! ) twice a week is perfect for lifting but it has to be monday thursday ( or so ) but not monday wednesday because it is too long from Wednesday to monday and you won't make progress.
Lifting is to be 2 or more sets of 6-12 repetitions of a move with about a minute inbetween - not more or less
3. cardio is best as many days as possible 15 minutes or more ( there is no such thing as a warm up. You KNOW what a fever is. You didnt' need me to tell you that you ARE NOT warmer. It is a "prep" not a "warm up" )
4. try to sleep at the same time every day and for more than 8 hours. If you can't, don't expect to feel great. Just feel like crap and keep going. Aim for as better as you can.
There is NO fix for lack-of-sleep. You just slog on.
5. food:
too much protein = bad too little protein = bad So, precise protein is the only answer
How much is precies? good question! about 22 to 30 grams PER MEAL! PER MEAL PERMEEEEEEAL! depending on your size. Once you get the right number, it doesn't change much.
Every thing that you eat is burnt, stored or otherwise gone in four hours. So, NEVER waste your time with Breakfastlunchdinner.
Just eat every four-five hours.
Fat clogs. Limit it.,
Carbs is the ONLY thing that makes your brain have fuel. DO NOT restrict carbs. When you eat the right amount of protein, your excessive appetite will shut off FOR, ONLY, FOUR HOURS.
No amount of willpower, style or yammering will do what just eating on time will do.
6. ( this one, you can't guess )
When you eat carbs - of any sort - on an empty stomach, it makes a brain chemical chain reaction that makes you sleepy.
It is VERY difficult to shake this off and it is such obscure knowledge that it is tough to get people to ALLOW you to eat this way.
Here is what I do: I have an almond or a square of cheese and set a timer for ten minutes.
11 or 15 or 8 minutes DOES NOT WORK! It has to be ten!
At ten minutes, I can eat what ever I want to and not get the fall-over feeling in the middle of the day.
I have a very long explanation of all this one but haven't the time to type it up.
However, if you choose to try this timer-eating-plan to stave off you unwanted sleepiness, you will not be in danger.
Look it over.
I am not offering anything scary there.

| All you have to do to verify Flora is read through her posts and apply common sense and rudimentary knowledge on the subjects she's talking about.
People who are BSing sound like BS. The only thing people get mad at Flora about here is her attitude -- and many people who had valuable information to contribute to this board for free are long gone... partially because one too many people here said, basically "LISTEN HERE, YOU TREAT ME WITH RESPECT" instead of "thanks for the free info."
Funny thing is you see this stuff happen in college courses, military training, etc, too -- it wastes a lot of time.

| Thankyou, EON.
This difference here is that no one judges me on the way that I look.
At least I'm not a blonde any more.
No one believed me then.
I want to state, clearly, that my teachers are more cherished, by me, that any jewelry could ever be.
I would not kiss the hem of their garments but I cherish cherish cherish what I know.

| ...one more, pertinent piece of info.
Sometimes, I start with meat and set the timer but, when you eat enough protein, the appetite shuts off for a while.
It gets tempting to just eat that chicken for those ten minutes but then, I don't eat my carbs and THEN, two hours later, I got nuttin'!
no strength no focus
eeeet deeee carbs

| any carbs will be used by brain and body.
Some carbs make you puffy. Some do not.
What are the easiest ones for you to get and/or which ones do you enjoy?

| most people eat wheat and sugary things and drink alcohol.
so, when atkins had every one dump carbs, he did not spell out anything but people gave up wheat and sugar.
because people don't know things like "the brain burns only carbs"
and refuse to study more, it was easy to get people to just follow blindly.
Body builders have known, for decades, that they cannot cut carbs but cannot eat the puffy ones
( have i dragged on long enough now??)
wheat, any cane-sugar products ( white or brown ), honey, alcohol, syrup
will make you puffy.
When you stop eating these, after about three or four days you will peee a thousand or so times ( did I exaggarate? not by much ) and will wake up thinner.
THAT is why atkins "worked" for people. they still had fat-clogged blood vessels but could fit in their pants.
I used to be pretty fat and hate being hungry. SO, I really enjoy eating plenty of carbs and not worrying.
here is the list of things that you can eat.
please, feel free to ask questions
rice, potatoes, oats, grits, popcorn, all fruits, quinoa
I will eat sugar if I dont' have to show my bod for a couple of days but I will not eat wheat.
I puff up like a balloon and look like that other women my age.

| if you do not drop the sugar and beer, you will NOT de-puff.
You have to drop them ALL to get the results.
"sweet tooth" is an old-wive's tale. You do NOT have a tooth that makes you eat desserts.
When you eat enough protein, every four hours, you will stop craving sweets.
As soon as the fifth hour comes, the cravings resume.
So, eat on time as much as possible
