My wife and I volunteer to walk dogs. When our little papillon passed we were heartbroken. Volunteering helped us as much as it helped the dogs and the workers. Although it wasn't planned, we fell in love with a doggie and adopted him. The location waived the adoption fee of $250.00. We paid it anyway, of course, and we have a great little guy who now we can't imagine living without. Volunteering is always worth the effort.
