Nutrition Experts
STILL cling to
breakfastlunchdinner!

Breakfastlunchdinner is part of the Industrial Age.

I am QUALIFIED to type the basics.

MOST people over-look the basics.

"Losing weight" is very different from "shrinking fat cells".

The body has many famine-responces.
So, general caloric-restriction does not work for everyone.

There is no way we can tell all people who want to be thnner to eat Red Twizzlers and to drink Sprite
and get a good response.

The problem with following cravings is, your brain only has two chemicals to send out to tell you to eat.

One is for fat and one is for carbs.
It has none for protein.
If you, youself, know when to eat protein, thank your parents.

The amount of carbs-cravings that cause probs INCLUDING the prob of alcoholism
means that "following cravings" is not the better path.
When you learn what the brain does, you will see to folly of "cravings are good".
Consider, also, the amount of people that crave chocolate constantly.
Alcohol cravings will, also, show you the folly of following cravings.

Everything that you eat is burnt or stored in four hours with the exception to of too much fat.
( The fat stays in the blood stream, if there is too much, and cannot be absorbed.
This leads to BIG probs)

To save a lot of typing -

eat a whole meal every four hours.

..."bits of food" mean "bits of energy" and very little - if any - healing.

There is NOTHING unprofessional or incorrect about
guiding people to eat real meals every four hours!

Most people don't even try to achieve the basics.

Go to NutritionDimension.com buy the book of basics (Diet, Exercise and Fitness )
for your self.

or just dapple in stylish drivel.

Yes, we, fitness professionals HAVE to know about things like the blood-type diet
and, yes, it IS drivel and, YES, we do get in knock-down, drag-out fights with nutritionists.

My latest rumble is about HFCS.

You can technically lose weight on any diet. Look up "twinkie diet."

Sugar does create energy (36ATP/sugar molecule); however, it won't help you with things like building muscle or repairing cells. To do those things, you need lipids (fat) and proteins.

From sugar, you end up getting a bunch of ATP, but when you also end up getting waste products like lactic acid, pyruvic acid, and alcohols.

If you guys want a more in depth explanation, let me know. Smile LoL

We might want to be more exact in our
discussions of carbs.

Many people get very confused by the word "sugar".

Also, many people do not understand that, if it is not a fat or a protien, it is a "sugar".

Here is the over-view again:

food is either
*fat
*protien
*carbs

that is ALL.

Other things that go into the body that we NEED are:
* water
* fiber

* vitamins are extra but good - not perfect but good

other things that go into the body are
* inert matter
* poison

That is ALL.

Steak and jam is a good meal but most people won't eat it.
Bananas and milk are good but, most people, need three glasses of milk to make a whole meal.

First, comprehend the basics.
Then, you can be fooled less

Sometimes the reason alot of people forget to eat every 4 hours is because they are so busy working /patroling that they loose track of the time Ive been known to do non stop shoveling 2 or 3 days straight without rest or food

We should team up some time for a little competitive fun
Get a crew to build 2 large decks and have them covered in snow and left overnight then you clear one deck while I do the other one and see who can do the job faster and better

Never saw this before. I recently started a change in my diet.

Yogurt
Proten
Water

And a normal meal thrown in here and there. But that's the gist of it.

Flora, I think he just did. That sounds even less healthy than me, even though I've been eating carbs lately. Mostly pasta. Razz

Eon, that thought crossed my mind too.

Pasta is lovely!
What do you have with it?

Wait, are you stating that I have encouraged you to return to eating carbs
after the Atkins-trend made you give up carbs?

Yes, except nothing about Atkins. I've just eaten more protein in the past because I wanted to. Sometimes I have spaghetti, sometimes it's just noodles and olive oil on the side, maybe with some pepper or other spice.

Actually figuring out how to cook it well probably motivated me more than anything.

I've also been paying attention to those "ANDI" (ANSI?) scores that pretty much make it seem like the only vegetable you should ever eat is collard greens.

It, still, amazes me - the lengths that peopel will go to to study odd stuff
and nto just basic hutrition.

Eon, when we went over your food before,
you were one of the only people who ate the good amount of protien
and you got your protien from meat. A+

I don't remember where you were getting yoru carbs from at all.
I think that you were low and were not working out much
from low energy...?

I'm in the army; I work out a handful of times a week minimum before even my own stuff. That's "much" for regular people.

Anyway, you kept saying "cardio!"

Protein is basically the staple of my diet. We talked a little about it before -- I just basically eat what I feel cravings for.

Anyway, this past weekend was outrageous. More than personal workouts lately I've been trying to do activities that involve physical activity. Recycling can be surprisingly hard depending on how you do it. Razz

What's wrong with what I'm eating? Better than the three course meals of value menu items every day like I normally do.

Even my bowels are adjusting, so I must be doing something right Smile

Yeah. Some stuff in the article, not others. Olive oil is great. Smile

UA, if it's working for you it's great. That'd just leave me feeling hungry all the time and I'd lose a lot of weight.

let's start by differenciating between "losing weight" and "shrinking fat cells".

The six game-changers still assumes
you know how to measure your protien and that you would over do it on fat.

Here's what I had to deal with today:

a friend got smashed in the side of the ankle
while playing sports.
Result: bone chips in leg and an ankle sprain

She says that she has been eating very healthy to facilitate healing.
I ask, "What...?".

She says, " A lot of fruit and a little almond butter."

I ask her if she knows how much protien to eat every meal and how much protien is in almond butter.

"No" to both questions.

This woman has been listening to my lectures since 1998 and the stuff has not stuck between her ears!

sigh

So, since the injury involves bone healing, I ask her how much calcium she is getting per day
and does she know how much she needs per day.

...does not know and doesn't know...

(DO YOU SEE WHY I WORRY??)

Result: she took notes this time and wrote down numbers

sigh sigh sigh

Do you see see see why I worry worry worry?

Smile

Then there was the lady who HAD to have me as her personal trainer but I was too busy.
So, we met on Sundays and i gave her home work.

Three sundays went by.
On the fourth Sudnay, we met again.
She said this to me ( Actual Quote),
" I know that I haven't done anything that you said and I know that I haven't been to the gym all week
but I don't understand why I still have loose skin on my thighs. ".

I couldn't even answer her for a minute
