I'm telling on you. The ghosts of all kittens will, now, haunt you and take away all your sleep until you stoppy stop the naughtyness

stoppy stop the naughtyness My hatred of cats is renowned throughout here and my private life. Battleaxe had one, and it was a nightmare... As for sleep, I don't need sleep. I need that thing where I close my eyes and run around until I wake up naked in the neighbors pool. (you can tell I get by on just three-four hours worth)

| All humans need sleep. All humans die without sleep.
You may have some set of things that interferes with sleep and "none" is different from "three".
If you need to run around, you are, probably, now in exercise.
A nightmare cat is, usually, a result of human-behavior.
Hating vertebrates who have smaller brains is not admirable in any human.
Hating a specific vertebrate who is way smaller than you and needy is not OK.
The ghosts of all cats will school you now and on-going.
It is time for you to watch "Animal Cops" all day every day for a while.

| Cruelty-to-animals is what serial killers do because animals can't call 911 and the actions are harder to trace.
If you condone, engage in, or, in any way, hold and defend Cruelty-to-ANY-animal, I, strongly, suspect that you should turn yourself in and that you are not RLSH.
I, sincerely, doubt that "Sure, GO ahead and hurt animals" will, ever, be part of the RLSH program.

| In 1995, when I got certified to teach Yoga, ( after 18 years of practice ) we, in the class, challenged ourselves to go to the prisons and get Yoga to live up to it's bragging, and "fix" the prisoners.
As you may guess or know, just plunking Yoga in there is not the answer - and we went at it from a different-crime-different-treatment basis.
As i saw, when I backed up and took a good look, no matter the urge, just - the fuck - control yourself.
You have learned to control yourself when you want to pee -and- you have learned to control yourself when you want to do things like run a red light.
"Control" is NOT - even a little bit - foreign to your days and nights.
We won't eliminate the urges to do things that aren't worth it but we can - the fuck - control ourselves.

| I've always assumed that cravings for something savoury were actually for protein. When you think about it, there weren't really any savoury carbs available to us during our evolution - like bread and pasta just wasn't around only really fat. I suppose the craving could have been for fat, but that would normally have come WITH the meat we ate. I wrote an article on the paleo diet for a client. The theory is good like you say, but the problem is the assumptions many people make. Often it's based on the 'Ethnographic Atlas' which is apparently a pretty inaccurate guide. And of course there's nothing wrong with taking advantage of the advantages of a modern diet - some things are healthier than those we'd have found lying on the floor in the Savannah. I think the real message of the paleo diet is to steer clear of tinned food, processed sugars and fizzy drinks. | |

Seems to work out. | |

| I may be completely missing the point here, but it seems to me that the concept of eating the way we did in paleolithic times is somehow healthier than our current options. Is there any evidence at all to suggest that paleolithic people lived longer?
If I recall correctly, we are currently larger, stronger, and have longer life spans. If we follow the "what is old is good" philosophy to its admittedly absurd conclusin, we might also eschew penicillin and other health aids that were not accessible in days of yore.

| Well the idea stems from a lack of diseases back then. Although its hard to prove that due to a lack of evidence. They've even found dinosaur fossils that had tumors on them. But most food today is loaded with preservatives and chemicals that you don't need, and are bad for you ultimately. People didn't live long back then because of a lack of a steady supply of food. Also a lack of sufficient healthcare and medicine, combined with dangerous environments and predators. But really you gotta ask yourself, why the he'll would you think junk food is better for you than natural fruits, vegetables and unprocessed meats? | |

| If we all followed our cravings, MOST would live on nothing but chocolate and booze.
No personal trainer gets people healthy by telling them to just follow cravings.
A very few people are on target with cravings.
YAY for them.
This changes nothing for the rest of us and our truckfuls of frosting

| ALLL food is just chemicals.
Preservatives preserve human tissue too and cause no harm.
CLEARLY, a high-fat diet causes harm
AND YET, we live three times a long as our ancestors.
The big motivator here is a hatred of fatness.
KNOW THIS: skinny people's brains shrink.
Eat. Exercise. Sleep. WASH your self and help out.

| Yeah... I don't think I could recommend following cravings to everybody.
Usually when I crave something it just seems to make sense.

| Maybe it helps lately that I've gotten so involved in cooking. I don't normally crave buying a bag of candy or something -- it's more like "what should I cook?" these days. | |

| PPPBBBT! The brain burns five time more carbs than all of your other tissues put together - night and day.
Here is the short answer: every four hours, outside of sleep, eat about 25grams of protein, about 400 calories of carbs, low fat, some vitamins and fiber. EVERY day.
Then, the rest comes from exercise.
Lift two times a week - separated by two days. So, tues/fri, or sat/wed...like that. Do cardio almost every day

| UA, and it uses NO numbers. That is sloppy and lazy and unhelpful.
The body's needs are precise. Ignoring that is a waste of time and brains.
Further more, if you are not qualified to discuss nutrition, you are foolish to try
